Blue Earth County Commissioner Kip Bruender announced his bid for reelection.

Kip has been a County Commissioner for over nineteen years. During that time, he has been dedicated and committed to improving the delivery of services, and community improvement, not only for the citizens of Blue Earth County, but for the citizens in our region.
Before becoming a commissioner, Kip served as the Mayor of the City of Eagle Lake for six years. In addition, he has over forty years of experience and involvement with a family-owned business. Kip has a vast working knowledge of state and local government, and business.
Since being elected in 2002 , Kip has served on several committees, commissions, and boards, including: the City/County Intergovernmental Committee; the Emergency Communications Joint Powers Board; the Minnesota Inter-County Association; the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust; the Minnesota Drainage Inspector Association; the MRCI Board; the MVAC Board; the Planning and Zoning Commission; the Regional Center for Entrepreneurial Facilitation; the South Central EMS Joint Powers Board; the South Central Workforce Council Joint Powers Board; Blue Earth Soil & Water; and Blue Earth County Township Officials Committee.
