In just a few short weeks, the kids will head back to school. Dr. Conrad Iber with Fairview Sleep Center says now is a good time to get your child back on a regular sleep schedule:
“No more than three caffeine(drinks)and certainly none after three o’clock in general and avoiding screen time in the last couple of hours.”
As for how much sleep your child should be getting?
“10-to-13 hours for children 3-to-5 years of age. 9-to-12 hours for children 6-to-12. And then for our teenagers and high school…more like 8-10 hours. The average is 9 hours.”
Iber says sleep plays an important role in your physical health.
