The Blue Earth County Historical Society has worked with the Mankato Brewery on the release of their latest saloon lager, Shady Lady, and to celebrate the release BECHS is having a Speakeasy on Saturday, August 24 from 7-9 p.m.
This speakeasy experience will include hors d’oeurves, music, cash bar, and complimentary Shady Lady Saloon Lager. According to Chris Collins of the Mankato Brewery, the Shady Lady has “unique wood notes due to the barrel aging of the lager, as was traditional at the time.” The Shady Lady Saloon Lager is named for alleged rum runner Belle Borne who resided in South Bend, Blue Earth County in the 1920s.
Tickets are $30/adults, $25/BECHS Members. Space is limited, so get your tickets early online at BlueEarthCountyHistory.com or by calling 507-345-5566.
