The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) is hosting a series of 90-minute listening sessions statewide starting this week, focused on trust in police officers.

“What we want to do is engage Minnesotans in what type of character traits they want to see in their state law enforcement agencies.”

Assistant Commissioner at the Department of Public Safety, Booker Hodges says community members are welcome to provide recommendations about what they believe is most important in the recruitment and selection of women and men for state law enforcement agencies. The sessions kick off today (TUE) in Rochester and will continue statewide throughout the summer.
