Over a dozen state lawmakers converged last night (Fri) on the Whipple Federal Building at Fort Snelling, location of many immigration hearings, to protest the Trump administration’s policy on immigration. Democratic Senator Patricia Torres Ray says it’s ineffective, and people keep coming to the U-S and are held at “inhumane” detention facilities:
“We need to continue to speak up and expose what is happening in the border…. It’s a crisis that we really need to attend to.”
Torres Ray says detention facilities are violating human rights and some people are making money on them.
